I have been working since I was sixteen years old at various stores such as Metro Supermarket and Old Navy. I currently work as a the playroom supervisor at Movati Athletic. I recently left my job at Dalhousie University's Department of Athletics at their Customer Service Desk and as a babysitter in their Fun Zone play area, where I worked for three years. Previous to this, I worked for Dalhousie's External Relations Department. In terms of volunteer work, I have a lengthy history with the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) working on the annual telethon, and in the hospital's play rooms.

Actor - Romeo and Juliet - Nurse

2010 - Ottawa, Ontario

I played Juliet's Nurse in Lester B Pearson High School's Romeo and Juliet. For this, I won a "Cappie" (Canada's Capital Cappies) in the category "Best Comic Actress in a Play" for my efforts. The Ottawa Citizen published reviews about this performance.

Actor - The Three Musketeers - Porthos

2011 - Ottawa, Ontario

I played Porthos, one of the three musketeers, in Lester B Pearson's The Three Musketeers. Again, I won a Cappie in the category "Best Comic Actress in a Play". The Ottawa Citizen published reviews about this as well.

Producer/Director/Designer/Actor - And Then There Were None - Ms. Emily Brent

2012/2013 - Halifax, Nova Scotia

In my first large directorial credit in university (for the Dalhousie Theatre Society) I took on an adaptation of Agatha Christie's murder mystery And Then There Were None. I produced the play and designed the set and tech for the play as well. If that wasn't enough, I also played the part of Ms. Emily Brent. This play had a great reception, and I am very pleased with how it turned out.

Producer/Director/Designer/Actor - Romeo and Juliet - Juliet's Nurse

2013/2014 - Halifax, Nova Scotia

For this project, I decided to showcase a play that is very near and dear to my heart. Again, I produced the play and designed the set and tech for the show. I also designed the costumes this year. I played Juliet's Nurse because I couldn't help but reprise this role I love so much. We had a full house for all five performances of Romeo and Juliet, and we had amazing reviews from our audience.

Assistant Director - Fountain School of Performing Arts' The Birds

2014 - Halifax, Nova Scotia

This production was Dalhousie University's Fountain School of Performing Arts' first ever production. I assistant directed this Greek comedy for my honours project. I was lucky enough to work under comedy master, and director, Dr. Jure Gantar. I have always had an affinity for comedy, so I really do count myself lucky to have been able to be a part of this hilarious show.

Director - Dalhousie University Directing 3200 -Ophelia

2014 - Halifax, Nova Scotia

This production was a scene in ten minutes for my directing class at Dalhousie. It was an expressionist look into Ophelia's (from Shakespeare's Hamlet) mind as she is about to die. It was directed as an homage to Catalyst Theatre's Jonathan Christenson. My mission statement with this was to raise awareness for depression and anxiety.

Director - Dalhousie University Directing 3200 - Scene Three from Goethe's Faust

2014 - Halifax, Nova Scotia

This is my second attempt directing something from Goethe's Faust for this particular assignment, as my first attempt was shot down by Dalhousie University's safety comittee due to the fact that it broke safety codes (blocking of a stairwell - fire exits). My second attempt will juxtapose reality and theatricality. Since Faust is originally a closet drama, I have actors performing a dramatic reading of scene three in which Mephistopheles is tempting Faust to join his evil journey while two other actors give a very realistic performance as sex workers who are strung out on heroin. The text compliments the stage business of the sex worker characters beautifully, but I want audiences not to realize that these two are part of my scene. I want them to be distracted by these charaters, without realizing that they're actually being distracted by my scene. I want to showcase the harsh reality of this situation. I wanted to portray sex workers because Goethe thought that sexuality should be performed on stage.

Scenic Painter - Fountain School of Performing Arts' The Seagull

2015 - Halifax, Nova Scotia

I am very excited to say that I worked as a scenic painter and member of the running crew for Anton Chekhov's The Seagull in March and April 2015. This is the Fountain School's biggest show of the year, and the set will be phenominal. Not to mention, I'm always happy to help whe someone is performing Chekhov. This production was directed by well known Canadian actor/director, Tanja Jacobs.

As well, I was nominated for the "Pearson P" award for outstanding leadership, and I was featured in the yearbook for having the "best sense of humour".

Dalhousie University Honours Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies - Halifax, Nova Scotia

2011 - 2015

In university I was a bit less involved than I was in high school. I've worked 20+ hours a week Dalplex (Dalhousie University Department of Athletics) throughout my education at Dal. I am still very involved with the Dalhousie Theatre Society through my producing and directing shows for them. With the "DTS" I've been involved in my own aforementioned shows, as well as playing a dancer and singer in the 2011 Halloween production of The Rocky Horror Show. During the summer of 2014, I took part in Dalhousie's Advanced Seminar in Baroque Culture in Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic. I gained so much valuable knowledge of theatre abroad from this trip as well as European culture and traditions. This experience has been one of my favourite memories to date.
